PURPOSE OF DESIGN
The Maddox FCP-600 Extruder is the first major advance in fried extrusion in over 50 years. A new drive system and special tooling combine in most cases to increase the extruder output to over 800 lbs/hr of raw product from the same size machine.
CHARACTERISTICS Production Capacity: Typically 600-800 lbs/hr (272-363 kg/hr) of raw collets and up to 1,050 lbs/hr (477 kg/hr) of fried collets. While this product is usually fried, it can also be baked. In this case the finished capacity is approximately 980 lbs/hr (445 kg/hr). Even though this extruder produces only one shape, the length of the collets can vary from 2” to 4” (50mm to 100mm) by adjusting the knife arrangement. Similarly, the width of the collets can be varied by adjusting the setting between the rotor and the stator.
Ingredients: Degerminated corn meal or degerminated corn grits are typically used. Up to 15% rice meal or 5% soy meal may be added.
Extruder Characteristics:The FCP-600 Extruder has a tubular steel frame available in standard stainless steel painted or optional white. A stainless steel hopper with 600 lbs. capacity is installed. The extruder is completely pre-wired and ready to run when shipped.
